Conner Gough
Conner pioneered Great Lakes Guided Outdoors with the intent to provide accessibility to quality outdoor experiences for people of all ages, demographics and backgrounds as well as helping in countless ways in his own community. By compounding a team of professionals from across the nation, GLGO has quickly grown to be one of the most versatile outfits in the state. He grew up in northern Michigan chasing fowl and fish with friends and then quickly shifted gears to cater to countless veteran and youth organizations. Not only did this open his eyes to the need for providing these services on a larger scale, it also lit a fire to continue providing these experiences for other outdoorsmen and women of all ages. Now, over a decade later the hunger to help these groups among many others has grown substantially.Gough spends a portion of the year in the mitten in pursuit of the migration of Canada geese and puddle ducks as well as sharing unforgettable experiences with his clients at the lodge and in the spring turkey woods chasing fired up gobblers. When not in Michigan you’ll find him in a dry field in the Central flyway or running a charter boat in the ocean fishing or hunting sea ducks in Alaska with King Eider Adventures. No matter the distance or circumstances, one thing always stays the same. The greatest focus is always geared towards the customer’s experience while in the blind or boat with him.“I personally guarantee that your time with GLGO will be everything you expect and more. We value each and every single person who joins the family every season and are fortunate for the connections that have been made while in the blind together.Sharing a common love of the outdoors with other sportsmen from around the globe has been something I am most grateful for. Whether an ear to ear smile of a first timer or someone completing their turkey slam, I can always learn something from every single person I share the woods with. I often get asked if I get burned out chasing my passion with as much emotion and drive as I do and the answer is always the same. I’ll never tire of seeing eyes light up with excitement the way they do when they take in the outdoor experiences we’re able to provide for people so regularly. That’s the ultimate goal and the biggest reward for the countless hours that went into making it possible. Guiding and outfitting is a labor of love, blood, sweat and tears. Grinding it out through the valleys is what makes you appreciate the mountaintops with the best people and for that I’m extremely appreciative. This isn’t just a job to me, this has become my way of life and it’s something I’m incredibly proud to say. I look forward to learning how my team can provide the exact outdoor adventure that you need and we will always count down the days until you return again!”

For those who know GLGO, memories with Paul will instantly come to mind. There’s rarely a time that the team is working together and Paul isn’t there to pitch in. Married 22 years with three kids, it isn’t hard to see that he places a high level of importance on his family. Paul has coached not only his kids but many other teams and organizations up to the varsity level for over the two decades. We’re grateful to have him on staff to help teach new hunters of all ages and share stories with seasoned waterfowlers while capturing these moments through the lens of his camera.
Paul is the 4 time Michigan state duck calling champion, 3 time Jack Miner duck calling champion, 2004 Midwest goose calling champion as well as countless other top ranking calling finishes across the country. He has represented GK Calls on their pro staff and is a testament of what every waterfowler should aspire to be. It doesn’t matter what the task is, Paul is always there to get the job done.
“Waterfowling has always been a part of my life even as a young boy, it was just what we did on the weekends during the winter months and I have wonderful memories of those days. As I grew older I fell in love with chasing giant canada geese and continue to do so til this very day with friends and family. When I can, getting my kids out there with me has been the most rewarding experience of all. Passing the torch to the next generation is a must so that future generations may experience the outdoors the way I have.”

Connor Lausch
Connor is a northern outdoorsman through and through and spends most of his time in the woods with his wife, Hanna, as well as the rest of his family. When not in the woods he can be found training dogs and doing habitat work, developing ground for deer and bear season. While the summer months are productive he is most passionate about spring turkey and chasing waterfowl through the fall and winter months. Lausch loves turkey hunting the most as it is an awesome opportunity for all different types of hunters to experience the turkey hunting rush. Turkey hunting is also a much more personal experience, one on one time in the turkey woods can be a great time to build a great relationship while taking in the sights and sounds of the spring woods coming to life after their winter dormant months. When he isn’t guiding in Michigan with GLGO, Connor can be found operating Feet Down Waterfowl in Minnesota and Prairie Spurs Outfitters, LLC in South Dakota. No matter the season or location, one thing is constant; Lausch means business, knows his birds and is great with his clients keeping them coming back year after year.
